For a fast-growing, dynamic and creative loyalty company, that works with visionary retailers in more than 20 countries, we are looking for a Senior Account Manager. Headquartered in the centre of Amsterdam, they have offices in London, Moscow, Hong Kong and Sydney. This company is a think-tank buzzing with creative strategists, marketers, designers, innovators, toy makers, techies, movie buffs, analysts, field researchers, culture vultures, globetrotters, pirates, smile creators, trend watchers and cool hunters. Together they work on creating the greatest innovative and entertaining loyalty campaigns. From concept, to creative, to sourcing and production.

Originating from being a creative toy design studio, and knowing the insights of what drives kids and families, this company develops out of this core DNA into new countries and into new business channels like Petrol, Airlines and Leisure. They work with both licensed IP as own IP.

For the expansion of our Commercial team and to cover some maternity leaves they are looking for an experienced service minded Sr. Account Manager to join them on the 1st of March 2019. You are responsible for the execution of our campaigns and managing our key retail accounts, in multiple countries.

You will act as the connection between the teams in the Netherlands (Design, Sourcing & Production) and regularly liaise between customers and cross-functional internal teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of the solutions in accordance to the customer’s needs. You are accountable for successfully managing a trusted relationship with the client and all internal and external stakeholders.

Purpose of Position

  • Communicate clearly the progress of initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Representing the client's and organization’s interests by operating as lead point of contact
  • New business development
  • Managing complaints
  • Reporting to the management as and when required
Requirements educational, working knowledge and experience

You are able to work under pressure using your excellent influencing, organizational and communication skills. You have a strong commercial and business mind-set and can work independently with minimal guidance. Your drive and will to win make you able to deliver client-focused solutions based on customer needs. You are always in the driver seat and keen to make it happen.
  • You have obtained a Bachelor or Master’s degree
  • You have at least 7-10 years’ experience in Retail Account Management or Trade Marketing or similar (e.g. Agency Account Management)
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Experience in supervising a team
  • Excellent communication skills, you know how and in which way to communicate to different types of stakeholders
  • Fluent in English, both verbally and written and preferably fluent in German or another language
  • A great drive and a great will to win 
  • Initiator ('driver seat' and 'make it happen' mentality) 
  • A problem-solving way of thinking
  • Willing to travel on a frequent base
  • Exited about toys, games and kids 
  • Technical background: familiar with product development and production processes 
  • Competence to work in an international environment
