What we are looking for
A dynamic and experienced Senior A&R Manager to support the SVP A&R in identifying and developing new and existing talent in the dance music genre. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the dance music landscape, a strong network within the industry, a proven track record of successful artist development, and expertise in data-driven A&R strategies.
You will work with other A&R professionals to discover talent, produce high-quality music and market it globally. Your ability to manage multiple projects and maintain composure during creative discussions makes you an excellent fit for this role. Once the music aligns with the desired vision, you’ll lead the process of signing record deals.
In this role, you will
- Identify and evaluate emerging and established dance music artists, producers and songwriters, staying ahead of trends and discovering new talent through thorough research and analysis
- Work closely with artists to develop their sound, image and career strategy, providing creative input on music production, songwriting and overall artistic direction
- Oversee the production process from demo to final release, coordinating with producers, mixers and mastering engineers to ensure top-quality output
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, digital, legal) to ensure cohesive and strategic execution of artist projects. Build strong relationships with external partners, including managers, agents and promoters.
- Maintain and expand your industry network by attending events, showcases, and conferences to scout new talent and represent the company.
- Stay informed on current trends in the dance music genre and report insights to the SVP of A&R regularly
- Negotiate contracts with artists and other stakeholders, ensuring agreements benefit both the artist and the company
- Monitor project budgets and expenses to complete projects within financial constraints while maintaining high standards
- Support the SVP A&R and provide guidance to the A&R team, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment
- Utilize data analytics to identify emerging trends, measure artist performance and inform A&R decisions
- Analyze streaming data, social media metrics and other data sources to support talent scouting and artist development strategies
- Generate detailed reports on artist performance, market trends and campaign effectiveness.
- Present findings to senior executives to guide strategic planning
- Implement new data-driven approaches to enhance the A&R process and continuously seek opportunities, trends and collaborations in the dance music industry.
Who are you
- You are fluent in English with excellent communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with different artists
- You are self-motivated, highly organized and have a ‘make-it-happen’ attitude, with the ability to work independently
- You build and maintain trustworthy relationships with artists and other stakeholders
- You are a skilled project manager, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- You have 7+ years of experience in a similar role, including working with artists and their management
- You work efficiently under pressure, maintaining structure and accuracy
- You have a strong network within the dance music industry.
